Getting ready for Dogs Day Out

Oscar and I are part of the organising committee for Dogs Day Out on 22 September in Mobara Park.  We've sat quietly thru all the meetings but now we get to sample the treats and toys that go into the show bags. This is definitely the best part of the job!

Hosting Japanese Students

This week my family and our neighbours hosted exchange students from Mobara City in Japan. It was so much fun.  They all loved dogs so I got lots of attention and lots of cuddles and we took them to some interesting places to see the sites of Adelaide. They didn’t speak much english but I understood them perfectly.

Water everywhere

I like winter because there’s water everywhere. I discovered this nice little waterfall on my walk this week along the Pledger Wetlands.

Pathway rejuvenation

Stopped to check that the workmen were doing a good job repaving the pathways that have been affected by tree roots.

Ready to Race

Visited Annie Payne (former ML Community Relations Officer) who now lives in the Riverland, and got a feel for her new Arrow Racing Kart.

I’d like to give this a go.

Planting trees

I wasn’t the only dog planting trees at the Wetlands on Mothers Day. Dyson the labrador was helping too.

Eating the garden cake

A delicious feature at the launch of the Mawson Lakes Garden Club was a huge garden cake made by my neighbour from Pink Lilly Cakes.  She put me on the cake just in front of the purple shed.  Can you see the little white dog on the green lawn?

And the cake tasted even better than it looked!  Thanks Karen.

Fundraising for rescued dogs

When Vet4Pets had a fundraising day for AWL mummy and I went along and caught up with our lovely friends at the vet’s clinic on Main Street. That’s my vet Dr Brendan Maguire on the right.

Our friendly police

When neighbourhood police officers Senior Constable Jessica Wilson and Constable Sara O’Rourke came round to our park on their bicycles, I gave them a big kiss of appreciation for keeping Mawson Lakes safe.

End-of-term party

Year 2 at Mawson Lakes School invited Mummy and me to celebrate the last day of term with them. Everybody was wearing purple and we had ice cream and jelly in cups. Thank you Year 2; we had a good time, even if I had to wear a party hat!
